A ritual pulling, where the flesh is pierced and then pulled for extended periods of time, is a millennia-old quasi-psychedelic practice held sacred by cultures worldwide, from the Savite Hindus of India to Native American tribes along the Missouri River banks. We figured there must be something behind it, so we asked Greg, a fresh-faced editorial intern from our Montreal office, to try it out.
